The following is a list of sailors we know and think highly of. While they have differing degrees of knowledge, everyone on this list knows their fore from their aft and crucially, we think you'll like them. When you want someone to sail with, just give them a call and see if they're free. |
Billy Oh
Availability: Usually free most weekday mornings and early afternoons, as well as weekend late afternoons/evenings
Sailing Background: "I'm certified through US Sailing up to Coastal Passage-Making and also have the Coastal Navigation Certificate. I've been sailing for the past seven years and the longest trip I've ever taken was from Bermuda to Newport, RI. I'm willing to sail in all kinds of weather, and any kind of vessel!"

Gerald Migley
Availability: "Anytime as I am retired. Also, on short notice as I love downtown not far from Monroe Harbor."
Sailing Background: "Experienced as crew on 27 to 42 foot monohauls on Lake Michigan and the BVIs. Navigational experience on Lake Michigian and the BVIs, using charts, hand bearing compass and GPS. Skipjacks at Columbia Yacht Club for three years." He has Basic Keelboat and Coastal Navigation certification from both U.S. Sailing and ASA.

Ed Foster
Availability: Ed's retired, but works part-time. He's usually pretty flexible and loves to get out on the water. He lives in the SW suburbs, so same day calls might be hard.
Sailing Background: Ed has been sailing for over thirty years. He's owned a range of boats and is very comfortable in all weather conditions. He's done a number of crossings with us on Paper Tiger.

- Billy is a super nice guy and a very competent sailor. In his mid-30s he is originally from central New York. Billy teaches violin and plays the fiddle in a bluegrass band Tanglewood.
